Snow and Rain

I keep bumping into these verses in Isaiah, at work, at home, in a song, even looking out the window.
God has purposes that go beyond our understanding, and He won't be deterred.  That's encouraging.

The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

- Isaiah 55:10,11

God's Word causes us to grow because it is full of Him.  It is Him.

In the beginning the Word already existed.  The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1

Out of the dust of us, God grows His life.  He takes a dry arid place and transforms it into something living.  Whether we know and understand it or not, He is bringing about His purposes.

God guarantees it.  It is the nature of His word.  It is full of Him and His power.  It can't help but change anything or anyone that it encounters, or who encounter it.

It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.  So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
-Mt. 9:37-38

Is anyone thirsty, come and drink.  If you have no money.  Come, it's all free.  Seek the Lord while you can find Him.  Call on Him now, while He is near.  Isaiah 55:1,6

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
-Eph. 3:16-18
